Last week, we adopted a horse named Delilah. She was transported to our house by a horse trailer and lives in our big red barn. Every morning I feed her a mixture of hay and grains. She loves to eat and will go crazy over alfalfa greens because it’s her favorite. When we got her, we realized we needed to switch her diet over since she is an older horse. Every afternoon, we take Delilah to the pasture so she can run around. Sometimes she gets so excited about her new house that she rolls around on the pasture. I started riding her the day we got her and she really responds well to me. Delilah makes me feel very calm. I pet and hug her a lot throughout the day. When we moved I picked a room with a view to the barn so I can constantly watch Delilah. Sometimes at night I can hear her making funny noises. I call it her happy noises.
